Fuck Sprint

Don't get a cell phone from Sprint. After being a customer for nearly three years, my phone just goes inactive one day. I paid my bill a few days late, at least that's what Sprint's site showed. I don't use my phone much, mainly for pages for work when I'm on call. So, I didnt do anything about it, and assumed it would be turned back on automagicly.

Wrong. When you're logged into their website, you can send them a support email. I did this and was shocked to get a response.

Apparently my spending Credit balance with them ($200) has gone over ($206 and change). OK, I have no idea how this is. I ask him, he said it's just based on some formula of how much I use my phone and estimated charges. I don't use my phone. I owe $41 per month, it doesn't deviate. He doesn't have an explanation of this, but I'm just happy that someone reads their support email.

So, I call. The lady I speak with isn't helpful. She's the internal collections, and claims that I can only get further by paying at least $60 of the bill. I ask for a department that can look on my account. She claims that no one can see anything until I pay. Yea right.

I go to the Sprint Store. The guy looks me up and basicly says that someone fucks up. He writes a note in my account and gives me a magic # to call to get it fixed (877-349-4413 if it helps anyone). I go home and call it.

I speak with Linda or Melinda or something. She looks at my account and says "What did you do?!" "uhh, nothing. I was looking around on the website.. "Oh, you must've hit something in there to do this".

Uhm, NO, BITCH. Apparently someone at Sprint put a $150 cancelation fee on my account out of the blue. Thanks! fuckers.

I wasn't able to get any type of refund for my phone being off for a week, either. She did offer me a "Free phone". However, the only way I can use this phone is to buy second phone number and contract.. UhmmOkNoThanks.
